September 3 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Dr Tony Joel and Bob Gartland are our two September speakers. Their talk explores how the Geelong Football Club has found its place within Geelong’s society.
Bob is the Vice-President of the Geelong Football Club, and a life-long supporter of the Geelong Cats. He is a passionate historian of the Club, and of the lives and careers of its players. Tony is the Discipline Convenor for History in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University. One Tony’s main teaching responsibilities involves sport in history, and he played a part in a groundbreaking new unit on the history of Australian football.
We all hope that this will be one of two great days in September for Geelong in 2025!
