Friday Lecture: The History of the Geelong Club

Geelong Club, 74 Brougham Street, Geelong

As part of the Geelong Historical Society’s October Exhibition program, Norman Houghton will present the first of two lectures: a talk on the history of the Geelong Club.

Established in the nineteenth century and housed in one of Geelong’s most distinguished heritage buildings, the Geelong Club has played an important role in the social and civic life of the city for more than 130 years. Norman’s presentation will explore the Club’s origins, development and continuing contribution to Geelong’s history.
