2025 AGM
The Annual General Meeting of the Geelong Historical Society Inc. was held on Wednesday April 2, 2025 at 7:30pm. The meeting was well-attended with over 22 members and guests present. The AGM was followed by our monthly lecture. The speaker was Dr Ros Otzens who spoke about the experiences of the Baird Family who emigrated to Geelong during the Gold Rush.
At the meeting, a new executive and committee were elected for 2025–26. We’re pleased to welcome two new committee members:
- Mark Thomas (also elected Vice-President)
- Coral Turner
A heartfelt thanks was expressed to David Brunton, who has stepped down after more than 25 years of service. His dedication has shaped our Society in countless ways.
